I’m Bret. I’ve lived in Hayes Valley for fourteen years, and for a good stretch of them I ran a Japanese cooking group on Meetup.com.

I’ve visited Japan over 9 times and absolutely love the Izakaya style pubs. I hope to capture a bit of that flavor, even though my apartment is unmistakably San Francisco.
